Do the Top Earners Hurt More than They Help?
This is something that I’ve really been pondering a lot lately because I’m a member of several residual income article sites. I’ve noticed a trend at almost all of them. At first there are a few people who are really dedicated when the site is still growing and write a lot so they earn a lot of money. Then they write ebooks about it. Then thousands of people sign up expecting to earn that amount of money and there’s a mass revolt and conspiracy theories abound when they don’t. Since none of these companies are really transparent then there really isn’t a formula. Good SEO and sheer quantity will earn you money almost anywhere. I’ve seen my earnings at all of the sites steadily grow through these principles although I’m still just window shopping Christian Louboutin items. Ultimately it leads to a lot of resentment. However, the top earners who say “I Make $x,xxx a month without working” is what really draws people to initially sign up in the first place.
Instead of becoming discouraged that I don’t make as much as the top earners I’ve decided to value what my work is worth specifically to me and then write accordingly. Besides, with fibro I really don’t have a lot of options. I don’t know which way is going to work so I can focus more time on my health but I know that one of them eventually will. As Michael J. Fox said in his book he had to work really hard when he found out he was sick because he knew he couldn’t work forever at a normal pace.
