Always Looking Up

I really fell in love with a TV special Michael J. Fox did about optimism when his book first came out. It’s like he always lives on Disney vacations where everything is beautiful, that’s just his personality. I am naturally sarcastic, but I want to be that way. He really had a lot of great points and tips for anyone who tries to stay positive in the face of disease or hardship. So I was excited to finally read his book “Always Looking Up”. I don’t know what I was expecting, probably just more of the “Adventures of an Eternal Optimist” special. It was totally different, not bad, I think that the special was just so amazing that the book fell short. He kinda touched on optimism in the book but didn’t really drive it home.

    I found myself having the same reaction when I read the book. I was quite inspired by MJ Fox’s TV special, and a little disappointed when I read his book. The book was still good, but maybe not a keeper.
