What Do You Need to Become a Freelance Writer?
Well of course you’d need a computer and an internet connection. Most of the blogging software out there is free and you can get lots of free advice. Then there are all the extras that really add to your posts like a digital camera. I notice that when my digital camera dies I really struggle and delay some of my posts. Lately, I’ve found that a scanner and a fax machine are both invaluable. I know this first hand because I don’t have either one.
It seems like whenever I sign up with a new article writing company I have trouble sending in all the paperwork. I have to go to the library and pay them a lot of money to use their fax machine and then something always goes on wrong on the other end. Sometimes this delays me finishing the application process for weeks depending on who I can get a hold of at the other company. It would really be faster just to mail it or even use a carrier pigeon or the Pony Express. What other tools besides the basics can’t you live without as a freelancer?
