Do You Really Work for Yourself?
It seems like the first thing people think of when they work from home is:
1. Being able to stay in their jammies all day.
2. Being their own boss.
I dreamed of this too and it’s worked out for me so far. However, I’ve found it impossible to be my own boss entirely. For the sake of my fibromyalgia I really wish this was the case simply because I’d have a lot less stress. It would probably help everything from my pain level and sleeping. Then I could work on the side effects of freelancing and stress with www.zitcream.org and just plain old exercise. In my experience it’s been necessary to work for several companies in basically the equivalent of having a lot of different part time jobs.
I’m trying to transition into just working for myself but it’s hard to bring in enough money. I guess even if I could support myself off my websites I’d be working with other companies. I’d still have to abide by all of their rules but it would probably be nicer than working for someone. So I’m curious. When you say you work for yourself, do you really mean that you just get to choose which companies you work for? Does anyone work just for themselves?
