I am a 27 year old princess with fibromyalgia. I am trying to manage my disease, find a job that I can do from home, & retain my general awesome-ness.

You Know You Have Fibro When

I don’t have a lot of energy because of fibromyalgia. I also hate the cold because of fibromyalgia. This lead me to being so exhausted when I woke up that I couldn’t believe it was morning because I was still so tired. It was one of those days when it took an eternity just to get dressed.

Then I went out to the car and realized there was frost on it. As I was looking for the frost scraper I thought “Why don’t they make these things bigger so I don’t have to work as much. They should be as big as a snow shovel.” I couldn’t find the snow scraper so I used a credit card. I managed to scrape about one eye hole before I was shivering and sick. My arms hurt and it was just impossible to get a visible spot on the windshield. I had to go back in the house because what was supposed to be a simple errand had become a marathon and I wasn’t wearing mbt shoes. It pretty much ruined my plans for the day. So, usually I wouldn’t give away my grand invention ideas away, but I’m hoping someone will actually invent this. I would definitely buy an oversized windshield scraper.

You had me at…the title! I, too, find it frustrating to do something that should be very simple and easy only to give up in frustration. One of the most frustrating things lately is I can’t hang curtains anymore! It takes too much energy and too much strength.

You’ve done a nice job on your blog!

I am adding a link to your blog on mine.

Hope the rest of your day went better.

That really stinks. It’s bad enough to feel the way you do without having to feel worse because of what the weather brings!

How about starting the car and letting the defrost blow hot air on the windshield to maybe loosen up the snow and ice? Would that help?

I would definitely buy a bigger ice scraper!

As another young woman with fibromyalgia, I know how miserable it is to have to run silly errands when you are feeling sick…especially when it feels like life just makes them harder for you.
