Being disabled myself albeit in a different way than someone suffering from fibromyalgia, I would have to guess that, like myself, it's a combination of "everybody's different" and finding the right type of exercise/daily activity that works for you. This, of course, doesn't provide any direct answers for any single individual coping with a severe disability(s) on a day to day basis but I found it's more the idea that counts.

I found that if I keep trying different types mild exercise (which includes chores, errands, housework and such) that I continuously vary according to how I feel on any particular day, I've slowly been able work towards having more consistently better days than worse. I've also been able to increase my stamina bit by bit as well. The thing I've had accept is that I never know how I'll feel one day after another so I need to remain as flexible as possible in my daily schedule. Kind of like "making it up as I go along" but using past experience as a reference.

Of course the most important part and probably the hardest to accomplish is keeping a positive attitude about the whole thing.

Keep the faith, Princess.

Of course doing exercise really helps. Its good to do exercises daily to keep ourselves fit and fine. Over all you'll never find any side effects, rather you'll be healthy.

I so hear you on this one! So many of the books/websites/etc. I've read say to "start easy" by just doing some extra walking. Of course, if I could do extra walking I'd be doing it already as that would allow me to actually complete some of the many tasks I've had on my perpetual To Do list...

Sort of makes me long for the days when hooking yourself into one of those contraptions with the big vibrating strap that just jiggled you around counted as exercise...
