Winter Update

Since I have fibromyalgia I really struggle through winter. This is especially pronounced since I live in Utah. I usually have to stay in the house as much as possible for six or seven months and become so weak that I can hardly get out of bed. I spend most of my time and energy shivering and wishing that I could take several Orlando vacations.

I recently moved to southern Utah to see if a change in climate would help. This is my first winter that really hasn’t been cold, although the locals assure me that it will get colder. For now I have to take a blanket out to the hammock when I lay in the sun, yes my life is hard. I haven’t gotten completely and totally better from fibro and I’m not expecting that I will. However, this winter so far has been a lot easier than it usually is and I’m able to maintain a basic lifestyle of working from home, hiking, taking care of the house and sleeping. It’s made enough of a difference that I will try to avoid winter completely from now on.
