How to Deal with Winter

It seems like autumn left in a blink of an eye. I only saw a few yellow leaves, most of the trees were still green. The next morning the leaves were frozen and brown. That’s what I get for living in Utah. Oh well at least it’s almost time for ski vacations. With winter comes fibro flares and my constant struggle just to keep warm. I think it will be a lot better this year because I’ve moved to a warmer climate but I’ll still have to deal with less than ideal temperatures, even if I won’t be battling all the snow anymore. Here is my list of winter must haves:

Electric blanket
Fireplace
Cupboard full of Soup
Cabinet full of Herbal Tea
Bubble bath
Fleece robe and fuzzy socks

Sure, being cold is always annoying but with fibro expending the extra energy of shivering seems to make me sicker and more exhausted so I just try to avoid it altogether. How do you survive winter?

For me, having a warm, furry friend to cuddle up with is an absolute must. I love cats and have always had at least one at a time. In winter, mine curls up around my ankles or the back of my thighs, thus keeping me warm and toasty.
