You Know You Have Fibro When…

Everyday tasks such as going grocery shopping are extremely difficult with fibromyalgia. Yesterday I found myself buying six tubes of toothpaste and several bottles of shampoo. Why? Well, the health and beauty aisle is way over on the other side of the store and sometimes it just uses the very last of my energy. That way I won’t have to go over there for awhile and will have more energy to carry the groceries up the stairs and put them away.

During my worst fibro moments I’ve considered having groceries delivered. I would pick the items I needed online and then let someone else do the work. I’ve even wondered if I should start reading about products like an ultra 90 review and then just buying household items online so I don’t have to trek to all the different stores. I just can’t afford grocery delivery right now and I live pretty far from the store. It’s a trivial thing I know but it says a lot about fibromyalgia. I feel every movement, and it hurts.

I hear you - the first thing I would want if I had the money would be a cook! Lately I’ve been feeling better about my fibro, the best thing I’ve found for stiff mornings is my ChiliPad - a mattress pad that lets you cool down (or heat up) your bed, mine lets me set any temperature between 46 and 118 degrees. It helps with pain and I have been getting more sleep because I’m not woken up by pain as easily. Hope this helps!
