How many companies do you write for?

There are a few great writing companies to work for online. By few, I mean very few. By great companies I mean that they will actually pay you more than minimum wage no matter how frustrating the process is. There’s only one I work with for upfront pay and the rest are residual sites. Whenever something goes wrong with a writing company there are plenty of complaints on the forums. Then other people chime up with “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” or “You should’ve diversified it’s not the companies fault that you can’t make your car payment”. I agree that people should diversify. I know people who spend as much time on desktops looking for jobs as they do actually writing & I’m one of them. However, there’s no sense spending a lot of time working for rotten eggs or some rare breed of hybrid egg that will jump out of your basket.

These sort of opt-in programs make me very nervous, several people I know of on forums have had their accounts hacked and their Paypal and email accounts have been compromised…be careful out there.
