Well that wasn’t the best idea I ever had
It’s been a little over a week since I set my goal to make $3,000 in a month by writing. So I should be at $750. I am not. I don’t even want to add up what I’m at. The pressure of having such a lofty goal has actually meant that I’m more stressed out, which means I sleep less, which means I’m less productive.
I am making less with this goal then I do when I just work as much as I am able. I need to find some inspiration to write, like going to Circuit City and getting a cute mouse pad or something. I’ve been having problems with my editors and it’s taken a shot at my self esteem. I’ve just totally had a melt down where the fatigue/stress/anxiety is so bad that I can’t really work. I really need to get back on track within the next few days.

I think me and you are having the same type of week.
I just saw an app similar to the one that I have been working on for the past two months get released by another company this weekend. Today, I heard the guy on the radio station.
Bummer.
Keep your head up!

That takes the cake for bad weeks at work. I had some trouble at work as well. I’ve been late everyday for work and my boss is pissed off.
Monday: Overslept
Tuesday: Bike conked
Wednesday: Got pulled over by cops
Dunno what is gonna happen next…
Sigh…

I believe realistic accomplishable goals is the best for fmers.Stress is our worst enemy,we shouldnt trigger it and strech our limits!

What I find that helps is to just do what you can do. I find I make more by not tracking my efforts all the time.

Don’t be so hard on yourself for not making your targets! Personally I find I perform better without such rigid goals. I often set smaller targets, like finishing an article by a certain time or something, but I try to steer clear of monetary targets as these can often be out of your control…

Keep working at it. Even if you don’t hit your goal don’t get discouraged. Set a new goal and keep at it.
