What I Don’t Get About the Secret
The law of attraction states that whatever we think about we attract. If that is truly the case why do people so often say when something horrible occurs “I never thought this would happen to me…”

I was quite baffled about the code stated above?
What was that all about?

I strongly agree with Hannah that you should think positive. If you will think positive then definitely you will do positive. And you achieve your goal.

That’s definitely the flaw in the theory behind The Secret. It wreaks of right-wing individualism: that we’re equally responsible for the bad things happening as the good. Tell that to victims of famine and earthquakes etc.
I believe there is some truth about the Secret. Positive thinking is most definitely a good thing. But it’s impossible to be 100% in control of your existance, there are simply too many variables and too many outside influences for that to be true…

We can’t control everything in our life but we can control our attitude. Who would you want to approach? The grumpy woman who frowns all the time or the one that is smiling and looking at you with encouragement? When we project goodness toward others then they are attracted to us. This attraction is social, business or whatever. Of course you can be positive and live authentically. If you are sad because something bad has happened then let yourself be sad, but don’t say or think, nothing ever good happens. If you think that way it will be a self fullfilling prophesy. I had a hard time with these concepts when I was in my 20′s. I was that sad grouch. Now I control my grouchiness if I can. Usually I’m only grouchy when I’m overly hot and in pain and even then I try to hide it.
