Grrrrr @ writing
I’m always hesitant to say that I’m a writer. I guess in the broadest definition of the word a writer is a person who writes & I do that. However, there is the implication there that someone would actually want to read the work of a writer. There is another implication that the writer actually supports themself through writing. So, I’m trying to be a writer.
Today, it is not going well. I guess I’m trying to force the creative process. I think when I start screaming at my laptop “Be a story. Why won’t you just be a story?” it’s time to take a break. It’s also a sign that I need to take a break when I come up with the following joke. What do a paper clip, broccoli, & a hyena all have in common? They can all write better than me.

There’s a saying that writing is an art. Uuuppsss, for me, writing is something that should flow-freely. Just like what you did now. What you said was already a form of writing and the way you said it can be considered an art already. It flows freely from your heart. You burst your anger, happiness, loneliness and all other ness….into writing. That’s good and you were relieve with your burden, isn’t it? We are in the same shoes.

If you are talking about that stupid paper clip in microsoft office, then yeah he can write better than me too. He is always popping in and giving me advice. Sometimes I want to destroy him but his tips are just so nice.

Writing is about sharing what you feel and as you slowly ‘unleash’ those emotions, it is the only time when you can freely scribble about the things you long to write.

i make music and write and stuff and “artist” and “art” are always the words that trip me up the most. i can never bring myself to say that anything i do is “art” because it seems pretentious, when in reality i know that it wouldn’t really be pretentious at all to call myself an “artist” (unless you consider the definition of “artist” or “writer” or “musician” to be entirely restricted to those that make their living off of their “art”, which i do not…..).
