House MD on fibromyalgia

I was wondering when House M.D. was going to give a fibromyalgia diagnoisis. Granted, he’s famous for saying “It’s never lupus.” Fibromyalgia is just a mysterious disease that would be right up his alley.

They take a case with a man who has such chronic pain that he wants to die. House’s team usually throws out tons of crazy suggestions & on the 5.12 episode “Painless” someone suggests fibromyalgia as a diagnoisis. Dr. Cameron says it’s not a diagnosis because there isn’t a treatment. Umm… I’ve been diagnoised with it, but there have been a lot of days when I wish I hadn’t been.

    I’m a big House fan but there have been a few instances where they have not mentioned illnesses appropriately. For example, they had an episode where they thought a small child had some sort of STD and they were talking about chlymadia pneumoniae (I think I spelled that right!). Chlymadia pneumoniae is not STD related. It is upper respiratory. This is what normally causes pneumonia and upper respiratory problems.

    I can’t tell you how relieved I am to finally have some answers from the doctor. I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.

    Just a piece of advise. Live life to the fullest and follow your dreams no matter what happens. If indeed it is a disease, what you can do now is to accept the fact that its in you. Nothing can beat acceptance. And second, do what you think is best just to get rid of this “disease”… I mean, all natural healing schemes, exercise to the max and anything of that sort. Love life, and life will love you more.
