Acupressure for migraines
I’ve heard that acupressure can help most health ailments. I’ve even seen it used for acne treatments. It’s basically needless acupuncture. There is no way that I would stick a needle in my head right now. However, I was desperate for help, so I got out a home remedy book. It had a map of several points to use for migraines.
There was a spot on my hand, one on my collar bone, one on my back that I couldn’t reach, & one on my foot. The book said to lightly run my finger over the pressure point & if it hurt a lot then I knew that I was in the right spot. That’s right, it’s supposed to hurt. Then you hold the point until it stops hurting. I’ve used accupressure for fibromyalgia pain with mixed results but never for a migraine. This time I couldn’t even hold my finger on the point for very long. It was just too painful, so it didn’t work.
