The Bright Side
It probably isn’t a coincidence that my car & my computer both went to heaven within three days of setting the goal to find ways to relax. It’s been a test trying to find solutions & remain calm. I’ve been trying to look on the bright side. (It rarely works.) Here are some good experiences I’ve had with my forced vacation.
- I recently thought, “Remember nature? That’s the place you always see on your screensaver. Maybe you should go & visit.”
- I’ve been able to really focus on the TV. Usually, I am reading about something or shopping & then half watching the TV. Now I have time to watch celebrity wrestling & wonder if they take 4 ad. I watch less TV now because I realize how absurd it is.
- I find myself spending more time with friends.
- I saw my bookshelf & wondered “Ohhh books, I think I used to read those. I wonder if I remember how.”
It’s been a forced vacation away from blogging & I’m excited to be able to start again soon. I really missed it. This made me realize how lucky I am to love what I do. However, I’m trying to enjoy the free time while it lasts.
