The best $1 investment in blogging

The best $1 I ever spent for my business was a cute, small notebook. I just bought it last week & it fits nicely on my desk without taking up too much space. I dedicated a page to each of my blogs & then I can write all of my post ideas there. I cleared a huge stack of post it notes off my desk. Plus, it means that I don’t have to figure out which blog I wanted to post that on. I tried to keep a list on my computer for awhile but I wasn’t very dedicated about updating it. I usually just scrawled it on a post it note & promised myself I’d add it to my the computer list next time I opened it. I never did. It’s just easier for me to write something down when the idea strikes.

Sorting through hundreds of post it notes each with incoherent scribblings on it took hours. Yes, I know it’s bad when I can’t even read my own writing. I feel like Lorelai on Gilmore Girls when she kept all of those notes to share when she & Rory were talking again. Then she had to figure out what rushia plebishum meant. For all I know I was writing about diet pills, Rome, or Matt Damon. I wonder what great posts I missed out on due to the fact that the topic is now outdated or I just can’t read it.
