Yahoo raises domain prices
I got this e-mail from Yahoo Small Business last week:
Important note: Beginning on July 1, 2008, Yahoo!’s annual domain renewal price increases to $34.95 per year.
After reading about the price change several bloggers speculated that Yahoo raised the price of their domains so more people will choose their hosting. Yeah, I really want to host with a company who randomly triples their prices. (That was sarcasm if you couldn’t tell.) There is no excuse for raising the price so high. With the present economy I can still find good deals on shoes or eca stack pills, so why should a domain triple in price?
I had no idea how to change a domain registrar. It was one of those scary things that I try to avoid. It was easier than I thought & I found this guide on how to transfer a domain from yahoo to godaddy very helpful.

many person will cry with the bill from Yahoo. They send email but the price in the domain account “still old price”. If you do not read email and just visit your account. You will know nothing.
I transfer my domain names out of yahoo just for $6.95 (http://www.luckyregister.com/ it is Godaddy family)

Great advice and very true. One of the most important things bloggers, or any business, can do is try not to give up. Even when times are tough it’s important to be there for your readers and customers because they will remember you in a positive light once things get better and you will be rewarded for your efforts.
