I Can Make You Thin: Not an infomercial
At first I thought “I Can Make You Thin” which airs on TLC was an infomercial. Infomercials are ok, but only late at night & only for a few minutes if they are about acne treatments. It just has that infomercial feel. I think the studio audience is just there to motivate people. It’s quite cheesy. I keep expecting him to say “& now for a limited time when you buy thin, I’ll throw in a free salad spinner.” I was surprised to watch the show & see that he wasn’t selling a book, he told you everything you needed to know. The format of the show is just silly, but there’s a lot of valid information.
I just want to yell at the TV “They already gave you your own show. Stop trying so hard.” If anything, it makes his principles seem less valid because he’s working so hard to make people believe them. At least I hope there is a lot of valid information there because I’m doing what he says. This guy is obviously used to selling something, but you don’t have to pay for the “golden rules.”

Interesting. I’ve never seen that before but it sounds funky.
What kinds of stuff does the show teach?
Sounds to me like a lot of people would be turned off because of the feel of the show!
