Live Search Club Review
Here is my advice to all small business owners: there are good times & there are bad times you just have to ride it out. There are times when I don’t make as much money as usual. The downside to this is that I still need to spend as much money as usual. So, I try to get stuff for free. I heard about MSN Live Search Club back in July. I ordered a roomba 530 series in December & it just arrived today. The roomba came with a rechargeable battery, dock, extra filter, some round thing that I don’t know what it is, & two virtual walls. I did have to get some D batteries for the virtual walls, but I wasn’t daunted by the CAT5e part of the store. Here is my overall impression of the Live Search Club.
Pros:
You can earn points fairly quickly. There is a 1000 point cap a day.
There used to be pretty cool prizes like an xbox for 35,000 points, or a 30 gb zune for 20,000 points. I don’t know if these prizes will be back in stock, I hope so. This means that you could earn a Samsung widescreen DVD camcorder in a month if you play for a few hours everyday.
Cons:
Only available in the United States.
The games are mostly word games, crosswords & anagrams. The whole purpose of the club is to boost the use of live search & the games can seem tedious after awhile.
Several people were using bots to trying & cheat the system when the club first started. So LSC implemented a policy that cheater’s wouldn’t receive prizes. Several people that have played honestly have said they were accused of cheating & their orders were canceled.
It takes three months to a receive a prize.
The support on this site is non existent from what I hear. I was supposed to receive a confirmation e-mail that my prize had shipped, but I didn’t.
All in all, it was a positive experience because I received my prize. However, I was prepared not to just because I’ve read such negative things in forums. So, if you have extra time & like word games, give it a try, but don’t count on it being a sure thing.
