Vacation Time
When I tell people that I work from home, they seem to think that I just sit by a pool all day & then walk into the house, turn on the computer & transfer money into my checking account. The truth is that I rarely take a weekend off. Yes, I don’t have set working hours, but I still work as much, if not more, than someone in an office. One of the downsides of this is that I don’t have an employer telling me, you have 3 vacation days a year. As such, I tend to just work through any vacation time. People need vacations or they burn out. I’ve forgotten this in the day to day stress of running my own business.
This week, I’m changing that. Granted, I don’t have a pool to lounge by, in Utah it would be more like an ice skating pond. However, I’m going to take 2.5 days & go on a little road trip. I’m not even going to take the computer, because then it wouldn’t be a vacation.

I often felt that when working from home you actually work more then what you do outside of the house. When you work outside the home, you get to come home to get away from your work. When you work in the home, the work is always staring you in the face.
