How to disable quickfind

I browse using firefox. There was an update a few days ago, I updated because I try to be responsible like that. Then I found that I couldn’t type an apostrophe. Every time that I tried to type this in comments something called quickfind would come up & wouldn’t go away. I have no idea what quickfind is, just that it was ruining my internet experience.

As tech savvy as I am, I decided that I could live without the apostrophe. Ask me about jewelry, books, Matt Damon & even directbuy commercials, & I’ll have an answer. Ask me about technology & I’ll just stare at you blankly & say “Did you break the internet?” I have to do tons of reading just to keep my blog running. Then I tried to type my url & found out that I also couldn’t use / anymore, which meant no more leaving links. I surmised that the internet was therefore broken. I finally found instructions to turn off quickfind. It already said quickfind was off, but once I turned it on then off again, it worked. Long live punctuation. Here is a line of apostrophes, just because I can type them now ”””””””””””’ Great now I just have to figure out how to make wordpress stop turning my apostrophes into astricks.  Oh apostrophes, how I do miss you.

If only it was like on the TV

During the writer’s strike, I’ve been watching a lot of House M.D. This is only due in part to my strange crush on Hugh Laurie. Shhhh… don’t tell anyone. I just like how unlike reality it is. I’m sure they have a lot of medical consultants on the show to make the medical stuff as believable as possible. They show brain surgery & beating hearts.

The doctors aren’t worried about if someone has health insurance or is part of medicare part d. Yes, they misdiagnose, but at least they misdiagnose quickly. It was completely unlike the 2-5 year struggle it took me to get diagnosed with fibromyalgia.
