Made for fibromyalgia
I’ve been thinking about this since my post last week. One of the weirdest parts about being 25 & having fibromyalgia is the clothes. I go shopping & see all of the cute clothes, but I can’t wear them because they will hurt my skin & make going outside of the house even more difficult than it is now. I feel like I need talent management to rate my clothes just to figure out how to get dressed. However, I’m a princess, I still want to look nice. Here are a few things I’ve learned:
- I’ve tried wearing sweaters, layers, fleece, basically everything to stay warm. The thing that works best is velvet because it’s heavy & doesn’t breathe.
- Pants with drawstrings seem to be more fashionable than anything with an elastic waist. This way I can still shop in the juniors section.
- If you ever find a comfortable pair of jeans/pants buy in bulk.
- Most winter coats are too heavy for me to wear. I literally feel weighed down. However, if I get a jacket that is made out of a weird material that doesn’t breathe it’s just as warm.
- I own a lot of fuzzy socks. They keep my feet warm, & they are soft. I had a pair of shoes that were a half size too big, so my fuzzy socks fit in them, plus my pants cover them & no one knows unless I take off my shoes. I won’t take off my shoes.
- Anything with extra buttons or seams in it will eventually feel like it’s digging into my skin but embroidery is pretty & doesn’t hurt.
What are your fibro fashion tips?

My personal fave would be cardigans, maryjanes, and some floral shorts, I think this is the best outfit in the tropics.
