No, the brilliant post mentioned in the title isn’t mine. I read it over at fightingfatigue.org & it’s called A Fibromyalgia Guide to Clothes Shopping & Dressing. I’ve thought about writing a post like this for awhile, but I couldn’t get passed “Wearing clothes hurts. Pantyhose feels like they are burning my skin. They don’t make pants with elastic waistbands that look like a 25 year old would wear them”. Sandy did a brilliant job with this article & it was nice to see that I’m not the only one who has problems with jeans, socks, or pantyhose.
Honestly, I try not to look frumpy which has always equaled pain. This even means that sometimes I stay inside because I’m not up to wearing “cute” clothes or shoes. I even try to do most of my shopping online to avoid extra trips to the store which is great if I’m looking for HDMI splitters, art supplies, or jewelry. It’s not so great when I need to go buy food. What are your tips for dressing with fibromyalgia?
