Death by post it’s
My business is being killed by post it notes. Anytime I have a new idea, I write it on a post it. This happens about twenty times a day. This means all of the new ideas get buried under the next day’s new ideas. Plus, I can hardly read my own handwriting. I have no idea what rusha plembish means, but it was obviously important enough to write done.
So I make a lot of notes about what I want to do, but I rarely get around to it. Post it’s=procrastination. My life would be so much simpler & my business would be more effective if I just had a no post it rule. If every time I thought “I should really do that..” I had to either take care of it or forget about it I would get so much more done. I don’t know how much time I spend trying to remember where I put that note or what it says. It would be so much less stressful. If I ever have the business version of “Behind the Scenes” of my life I really don’t want the voice over to say “She was brought down by post it notes”.

I do this too! Except I have a notebook I write everything in. I actually like it, because then when I have time to sit down and work, I can cross each thing off as I finish it. And it also gives me a nice list of things to do so that I don’t find myself finally having time to get things done and then forgetting what it was I had been meaning to do!
maybe your to-dos should be on the computer that way they don’t get lost and you can erase things as they are done.
The problem is, that some ideas are not intended to be acted on immediately, but they’re good ideas!
Maybe you need a better system of arranging your ideas by priority that way you can have the best of both worlds! For instance. I use microsoft outlook’s tasks and assign them by categories. That way I can be as granular in my ideas as I want to be and prioritize them when I’m thinking about them, by project. Then when I have a few minutes every day I scan them to see if I should bump them up in terms of priority.
Works for me.
If you develop your system. you can get rid of this problem. Just keep faith on you. You must gain success. Best of luck.
