Don’t Blame Me

Dear Healthy People,

Whenever I saw I feel like I have the flu, you tell me that it’s just the fibromyalgia. Yes, they do feel a lot alike. However, I’ve been living in my body for quite awhile, & I can sense fairly big changes like the flu. I also notice when I feel nauseas or have a sore throat, or am running a temperature. Those are not parts of my everyday fibromyalgia routine.

I don’t understand your trepidation at just admitting that I have the flu. I also don’t understand why so many healthy people tell this to me. I wonder if other fibromites experience the same thing. It isn’t a huge deal. You will think what you want. Just don’t blame me if you accidentally catch the “not the flu”.

Sincerely,

Sarakastic

Funny, but my husband is so in denial that whenever I mention the symptoms of a “flare”, he asks if I am coming down with the flu! He just doesn’t get that it’s fibro and it won’t go away like magic. But then I have only been diagnosed with it for about 2 years, even though I have had various symptoms of it for about 10 years.

Hope it is the flu, as that means you can get over it! Get Well Soon!
