A Sarakastic by any other name

Everyone in my family has cool stories about how they got their name. My brother was named after a soap opera my mom watched when she was pregnant. My Mom always says that I just sort of came with my name, she just knew what to call me.

Sara means princess, & she swears that Emily means hardworking. Although, I’ve never been able to find a definition of Emily that meant hard working. However, the story is dear to me, because my name suits my life. It’s a story that makes me smile & reminds me of who I am, even when I’m really sick. I’m a hardworking princess, end of story.

I always feel terrible when people don’t know what their name means, because my name means so much to me. Well, now I can remedy that for free thanks to Name Explorer. I just went to the Place to go for the name widget, & got the widget to install on my blog so anyone can look up the meaning of their name. It even shows details like usage & origin. What does your name mean, & does it suit your personality?

That widget is pretty cool… apparently my name means “Teacher, singing, or mountain”. I think I actually did hear that Emily meant hard-working somewhere, too, so your mom isn’t just making stuff up. Thanks for sharing this!
