I live in the UK and we're not allowed to see adverts for prescription meds for some odd reason, apparently the Brits are too susceptible to advertising or some silly thing, so I've never seen an ad that listed such an extreme side effect... My favorite side effect listing was some throat spray stuff which just said "Call you doctor if anything unusual happens". You know, like you turn into an egg plant or similar. Dopamine is involved in addiction. That's about all I know, but basically addiction is a chemical imbalance and Mirapex can cause it or something like that. I actually take Mirapex for fibromyalgia. Everything else I tried either didn't work or had bad side effects. Mirapex helps me, but I have to take it before going to bed and sleep through the side effects, else I get really bad nausea and vertigo. Fortunately, I have found out that just sniffing some essential peppermint oil relieves nausea very well and without side effects. Mirapex is a dopamine agonist. Dopamine is involved in addiction. I wouldn't be making good decisions. Same goes for chronic pain. I can't imagine enduring pain that never went away.
