Better Karma: Day 5 & Free Jewelry

I keep running into one big problem trying to build better karma: sometimes people just suck. I want to do something about this, take the defensive, but in a positive way. I think what people really seem to need is to be seen. If you’re a fibromite, you know what it’s like to feel invisible, or for people to just not get how hard life can be.
I’ve started a project called random acts of bling to try & remedy this. Every week I’ll be giving away a piece of jewelry at random. To enter all you have to do is leave a comment here including a story about how people don’t suck. You can also leave a pingback or link if you’d like to write about it on your own blog. The winner would be chosen at random.
I want to give people reminders that they are special. Ideally, the winner would give the jewelry to a grocery store clerk who looked tired, or some other person who was feeling invisible, but you can also keep the jewelry. The only restriction is that you feel special when you wear it. This week I’m giving away a tiara, although most of the prizes will be sterling silver jewelry with genuine gemstones. If you think that you don’t need a tiara, you are wrong. It makes life a lost easier, even if you just wear it while you are doing housework. Feel free to use this graphic to share the idea.

Cool! Jewelry contests are always fun
And karma is important (and difficult to master) so I think your idea is a great one.

I hear ya. When I run into people who suck, I force myself to smile and laugh. After all, they’re the ones who suck. Isn’t that funny to think about?
