All at once

I just realized that I haven’t been posting about this month’s experiment.  Without that, there is no experiment in fibromyalgia experiment & I’m just too lazy to buy a new domain name.  I have been writing, keeping a journal of my adventure, I’ve just been too lazy & scatterbrained to post them so I decided to just post them all in one super long post. Ironically, this months experiment was to become better organized.  I was trying to accomplish all of the "not fun" stuff that I had been putting off, such as organization, link building. Basically, I was just trying not to procrastinate anymore.  I wanted to be able to sleep better at night because I would have less on my mind. Obviously, it has worked wonders for me.

Ewwww Day 8: I think I write too much.  There’s so many posts to keep up with, that it is all I can do all day. To me, writing is the fun part, it’s the part that gets seen, so it’s what I focus on. I think in the long run, if I focus on SEO the higher page rank will come, the more money I will make.  The flaw in this plan is that I’m impatient & can’t interrupt my cash flow right now.  Plus, writing is therapeutic for me, & I like that it takes the front seat. Instead, I will try to do one thing for SEO every day.  This will keep my brain from shutting down whenever those three letters are mentioned.  In the end it should all add up.  I hope so anyways.

Ewww day ?

I’m not the best at math. As I was organizing the experiments I noticed that some of the days were off.  I need to stop doing the day such & such, because that requires math & my brain is all fibro foggy. Or I could start the experiments on the first day of the month, ah that’s an idea. I think fibro foggy is the exact medical term. I think my point is that this is a math free zone, totally math free.

Ewww it’s over

My goal for this month was to get my business running smoother by doing all those  "chores" that I never get around to doing.  I wanted to be able to finally relax when it was all over, & not wake up in the middle of the night thinking "Oh yeah, I’ve gotta do that". My goals were to:

1. Submit to 300 directories.

I ended up doing about 60 directories myself & then found that I could have someone manually submit them for me, for about $20 for a 100 different directories, so I went that route. It was just much too frustrating to find all the directories & read all the requirements myself. Time will only tell how, or if this pays off.

2. Organize the experiments.

Done & done. Thanks for putting up with all the disorganization around here as I posted the lists of all the previous experiments. It took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to do with them. I will try to keep my room clean so to speak, & do this when I finish each experiment so I won’t have the mess again.

3. Link out to other people at least once a week.

I’ve done this & gotten the links reciprocated & then some. I will definitely continue doing this. I also started with Link & Blog challenge & made a lot of great friends.

4. Article submission.

Nope, sure didn’t. Well, I guess I did pay someone a little money to do this, but I haven’t had the full experience of trying it myself. I started reading about it, & got all confused, so I did the responsible thing & gave up. So if someone can share their experiences with article submissions, I would really appreciate it.

5. 63 blog carnivals. I didn’t want to spam, I wanted to actually be in carnivals that I belonged in. I probably ended up in about 10. Doing such, there just wasn’t that many carnivals to be a part of that I really belonged in. 63? I don’t know what I was thinking either.

6. Fix all of my templates. Yup, I did. As soon as I finished I decided to upgrade wordpress which of course messed up all my templates. Le sigh. That is French for "the sigh".

After getting all this done I should feel like a big sense of relief. It just felt like for everything I fixed, two more things broke so I don’t feel like I have any better handle on things than I did before. However, I have decided to do one thing that is good for SEO everyday, & I’ve made a lot of new friends & found great new sites to build links with so overall I would say this experiment was a success.

The Link and Blog Challenge is fun I’d like to do it more. Actually, I like your list. Would be good for me to start one too, and follow it. I also enjoy writing, it is therapeutic for me too.
