Blog Envy

I’ll admit it, I have blog envy. I know how I want my blog to look in my head, but it’s difficult to make that a reality, especially since I don’t have any graphic design experience. I just like things to look pretty, is that so wrong? So I was excited today to visit a blog of a graphic artist named Aaron who lives in the Philippines. He even has free brushes to use in photoshop & they are pretty cool looking. I am so behind that I had no idea this stuff even existed, I always wondered how people made those cool squiggly things, surely not everyone was drawing them out. Now I know.

    Well, if it makes you feel any better. I get blog envy just from your blog. At least you have a cool little banner. All my blogs still have pretty basic template looks to them. I’ve tried to play with customization a little bit, but thats mostly just in the way of columns and organization, nothing to make it shiny.

    I think you have a nice site! I understand you, though, I’m always looking at other blogs and wanting something different… something more. I used to play with Photoshop but it’s so time consuming, I have no color matching skills at all, and so I just gave up. I did get a nice banner though from someone else. :)

    Design is a pain in the but - especially when IE ruins something that looks great in Firefox. Keep tinkering and always keep a backup of your previous version. BTW - I’m a brush addict! I have more than I can keep track of.
