This is my first solution to all the mean comments I’ve been receiving. It is a mason jar, where I glued all of my grandma’s broken pieces of jewelry. I call it the pirate box because my brother saw all off the supplies on the table & said "that sure is a lot of baubles & trinkets, you are like a very feminine pirate". The pirate box in itself makes me smile whenever I see it, it is an explosion of happy. Anyways, whenever I receive a mean comment I will put a dollar in the pirate box. I may have to cut the budget back to a quarter depending on how many mean comments I get. The money in the pirate box will then be used to boost my self worth with something that is completely frivolous that I want but don’t allow myself the money to buy, like a CD or a threadless t-shirt . It’s basically self esteem in a jar. So go ahead tell me the pirate box looks like crap or that I type fat, (an actual insult I’ve received), I’m ready.
