Mary Tyler Moore

Here is another song that always makes me smile, no matter how bad the pain is.  The "Mary Tyler Moore" theme song.  When I first heard this song, it was before the days of mp3’s.  So I had to sit in front of the computer for hours & hit the play button on the computer over & over.  It was the theme song of my younger years & always made me feel like I had a world of possibility before me, & that someday I would move to a big city & throw a hat up in the air. What music inspires you?

Hopefully you didn’t want to wear a plaid pantsuit like Mary’s?

What a delightful nostalgia trip. Mary was so very uncool that she was cool, and, yep … I’d have given anything to be her, tossing that hat, not a care in the world, on top of it all!

I’ve been looking for this music - where did you find it? I bought a CD with 100 top tv themes, and it is a different version of MTM. I love your version much better!

Where did you find this version? I have been looking all over for it. I purchased Top 100 TV Theme Songs, and it is not this version. Help! I love this one!

Hi, thanks for your comment about the Mary Tyler Moore theme song. That video is a compilation of 3 songs, the first one was the one used on the show, it’s called “love is all around” by Sonny Curtis. The second version is Sammy Davis Jr. it’s just a cover he did that was never used on the show. The last version is by Joan Jett that was used on the Mary & Rhoda Reunion show. So anywhere you normally buy music, just search for Sonny Curtis & you should be able to find it let me know if you need anymore help!
