To have an SEO consultant, or not have an SEO consultant that is the question. In order to make money online, you will need to get people to your site. It is a simple principle, that can be extremely difficult to accomplish. This is where you might need the help of an SEO Consultant. When looking through consultant sites I try to find one that doesn’t hurt my head & has a lot of useful information like keyword strategy.
A friend offered to help me with SEO when I started. I didn’t want to pay the money. It seemed like too big of an investment. However, I can’t help but wonder if that was a mistake. Yes, I’ve managed to learn a lot on my own, but am I missing out on a lot of traffic? Could I be further along?
Starting out in this, it’s possible to waste a lot of money with little or no results if you don’t know what your doing, or if you don’t work with someone who does know what they are doing. A lot of sites will just say "We will get you to number 1", but they don’t tell you how. You don’t even know if they will do it ethically. I truly believe that with enough research you can do everything that an SEO consultant can. However, it will take a lot of time, so it depends on how much your time is worth.
