My very own holiday because I deserve it
The idea of buying a present for every person in existence, changing your wardrobe, changing your entire way of eating, changing your entire home decor for only a month, while maintaining most of your regular obligations was obviously thought of by a healthy person. The holidays are some of the worst times for my fibromyalgia because there is just SO much to balance, so I’ll be writing a few posts on coping skills, some that I use, & some I need to utilize more. The first thing I do is schedule in my own holidays. I find the real holidays so hectic, & I’m usually just trying to survive, that I don’t really enjoy them. So this year, Dec 22-23 & January 2-3 are the Fourth Annual Sara Day(s). It’s a national holiday here in Sara land. I get to turn off my cell phone, step away from the computer, leave the house a mess & just rest. I get to clear my head, & give my body a chance to recuperate. I look forward to these days just as much as the holidays, even if you can only clear a few hours, remember to schedule your own holiday! (See how I used a ! That’s just how important this is.)
