Who would’ve thought
This book isn’t about fibromyalgia, but it still changed my life. “Life of Pi” by Yann Martel is about a boy who gets stuck aboard a life raft with a Bengal tiger. I don’t usually like analogies, but this book really spoke to me, even though I’ve never been stranded on a life raft with a Bengal tiger. I don’t know if anyone will be able to understand my analogy even if you have read the book, because like I said, I don’t do metaphors. Here is what it meant to me:
Boy=My soul
Boat=My body
Tiger=Fibromyalgia
Fish, nets, everything used to survive=meds, herbs, exercise
They finally land on an island=Remission
“Life of Pi” is a great book for anyone who needs inspiration, or just a great read. If anyone else has read this book I would love to hear your thoughts on it.
